Stanley, population 600, is the last major township on the northwest coast of Tasmania. Located 127 km from Devonport and 231 km from Launceston, it is a small historic town full of beautifully preserved buildings. It is known for its extraordinary headland, known as the ‘Nut’. It is a 20 minute climb to the top, but when you get there, it offers some excellent 360 degree views of the surrounding area.
