The Port Campbell National Park is probably the most famous section of the Great Ocean Road and has some of the most dramatic scenery. The park is most famous for the ‘Twelve Apostles’, which are huge stone monoliths that jut out of the ocean along the coast. It is also famous for the historic shipwrecks found in the area.

The park also contains the most significant areas of vegetation and fauna native to south-western Victoria. There are many diverse environments, ranging from woodlands, wetlands, coastal cliffs, dunes, limestone stacks and arches. The small township of Port Campbell provides a good base for exploring the national park and also for diving, fishing and scenic boat tours.
