The tiny delightful town of Pemberton is located deep in the karri forests and is home to the largest hardwood saw mill in the southern hemisphere. Much of the karri forest has been designated as a national park and is protected from deforestation. One of the worlds tallest fire lookouts, the Gloucester Tree is near town. From here, 60m up, are spectacular views of the surrounding forest and Gloucester National Park.
