Lying 82km southeast of Adelaide is Murray Bridge with a population of 13,000. The town boasts the first bridge to span the Murray River, built in 1879 and is 1km long. The Murray provides a great natural resource for fishing, swimming and water skiing. River cruises operate from Murray Bridge and the Monarto Zoological Park housing Australian and international exhibits, is located 20km west of town. |
