The town of Mt Barker is about 50km north of Albany. The MT Barker lookout provides a panoramic view of the area. MT Barker is well known for its wine making and there are many wineries in the region. It is also the gateway to the Porongurup National park and the Porongurup Range, which is the oldest volcanic formation in the world. Here you can find hundreds of species of colourful flowering plants, prolific birdlife and unique natural formations. |
