This small stretch of coast is fast becoming a major backpacker destination. There are several small settlements dotted along the 14 kilometres of Mission Beach including; Mission, Wongaling and South Mission Beaches. From here it is possible to take boat trips out to the Great Barrier Reef and Dunk Island, go white water rafting on the Tully River and walk through the rainforests. Other activities available include, skydiving, horse riding, fishing and sailing.
