This small Tableland town has a population of around a thousand people and is surrounded by some beautiful tropical scenery. The town is also famous for its markets, which tend to get overrun by tourists on a regular basis, fortunately there are still some nice stalls that sell charming arts and crafts. However, there is more to Kuranda than souvenirs. You can experience the magical journey of travelling to Kuranda by choosing either a scenic rail journey , the cableway or driving through World Heritage Rainforest. |

You can visit Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or try Bungy Jumping if you are game. You can also discover some of the local Aboriginal Heritage.
