If you are planning to backpack Kiama, then this page provides information on the backpacker hostel located here. The page also provides a description of Kiama, information on how to get here and contact details of the local visitor information centre.

The Kiama blowhole is a famous landmark of this seaside town. This is where water from the ocean washes into a rock cave and is forced up through a narrow rock formation and spouts up to 60 meters. This is not all there is to Kiama however. There are beautiful surf beaches that surround the town, especially at nearby Gerringong, 10 km to the south. You can also visit the beautiful subtropical Minnamurra Rainforest, which is part of the Budderoo National Park. This is located 15km to the west of the town. Kiama has a relaxed tourist feel to it and it is far enough from Sydney to escape city life, but close enough to reach by train in a few short hours.
