The Grampian Mountains are the southwest tail end of the Great Dividing Range and are the home of the Grampians National Park. The park is renowned for its excellent bushwalks, mountain lookouts, Aboriginal rock art, wildlife and rock climbing opportunities. From August to November, the native flora comes to life and provides some amazing scenery. There is also around one hundred species of birds here, as well as many native animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, snakes, platypus and possums. |

Some of the major sites worth visiting, include McKenzie Falls, Lake Bellfield and Zumsteins Park. Halls Gap is a small town at the entrance to the Grampians National Park and provides a good base for exploring all these great elements of the park.
