backpacking Gerringong
Gerringong is a rural dairying town situated in one of the richest dairy farming areas in New South Wales and is located 10 km south of Kiama. It is close to the site at Seven Mile Beach, where famous Australian aviator Charles Kingsford Smith, took off to fly to New Zealand in 1933. Seven Mile Beach is now a national park and it is ideal for bushwalking, surfing, fishing and swimming and very well known for wind surfing.
