First established in 1863, this small coastal town flourished in the gold rushes of the 1890’s. Esperance, population 8,500, is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination with many attractions. The area has some stunning coastal scenery, beautiful coastal blue waters and amazing white sandy beaches. Many watersports are popular in the area, including surfing, sailing, fishing and diving.

There is also the nearby National Parks of Stokes, Cape Le Grand and Cape Arid to explore. Off the coast of Esperance is the Recherche Archipelago, this is an area that consists of around 200 coastal islands with amazing marine life. This is a great area for snorkellers and scuba divers to visit and explore.
