The small town of Dunsborough situated just to the west of
Busselton is a great base to take in some of the impressive nearby surf beaches such as Meelup, Bunker Bay and Eagle Bay. There are walking trails to the lighthouse at Cape Naturaliste where you can see Hump Back whales, Southern Right whales and dolphins at certain times of the year. Dunsborough is also the home to the largest accessible dive wreck in the Southern hemisphere
-The HMAS Swan. A 120 metre long decommissioned naval destroyer. Diving tours, for novice to experienced divers are available at most times of the year. The town is also a good base to explore the nearby wineries in the Margaret
River region of West Australia. |
