This thriving city is the commercial, administrative and industrial hub of the Central West and has a population of around 38,000. The city itself has a major shopping area and many historical buildings. Once you leave the city you will come into cattle and sheep country.
Dubbo is famous for its Western Plains Zoo, the largest open range zoo in the country. This is an excellent attraction and well worth a visit. As well as natural Australian species, the zoo houses Bengal Tigers, Black Rhinoceros and African Elephants. |
