Dongara, population 1,900, is a pleasant little fishing village and has some very nice beaches, which are great for all types of watersports. Across the Irwin River is Port Denison, which is a great place for bird watching, with pelicans and cormorants frequently in the area. During Spring, Dongara is also a good base to explore the magnificent wildflower country. |
