Coral Bay, population 950, is a popular stopover on the way to Exmouth, which lies 160km to the north. It is also the starting point for the impressive Coral Coast and Pilbara Region.

The town is tiny and boasts a decent sized caravan park and a beautiful beach, which is excellent for swimming and snorkelling. Coral Bay is also at the southern tip of the Ningaloo Marine Park and a good time to visit the area is in March/April while the coral is spawning.
