Richmond is well known for two things. It has a huge shopping area of factory outlet stores along Bridge Road. You can get some great bargains at very reasonable prices. The second thing Richmond is known for is its strong Vietnamese influence. You can experience some great Vietnamese and Chinese food, or pick up some great bargains in the local stores on Victoria Street. Richmond also lies next to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where in summer it has some of the major cricket matches, and in winter the stadium hosts many Australian Rules Football matches.
