Manly is probably Sydney’s other most famous beach. Many backpackers stay in this area, probably because of the fairly relaxed lifestyle it offers. There is a strong surfing influence in the area, because of the great surfing beaches here.

There is a strip which goes from Manly wharf to Manly beach called the Corso. Here you can find a variety of shops ranging from tacky to expensive and also a selection of eating areas. To get to Manly you can catch the Manly ferry, which offers some of the best views of Sydney Harbour.
