This is considered to be Sydney’s Red Light District, although the area is reasonably tame these days. Kings Cross is a vibrant place; it is an area that has much activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is in close proximity to the city centre of Sydney (approximately 20 minutes walk). Much of Sydney’s nightlife is based in this area, along with a fantastic cafe society. There is a great deal of hostels to choose from in this area, which allows for a great place to meet other fellow backpackers.
