This is one of the more exclusive areas of Melbourne and real estate here is very expensive. South Yarra and neighbouring Prahran are renowned for their great shopping. There are many great clothing shops to choose from, ranging from budget to the very expensive and most of these are located on Chapel Street. The area also has great cafe’s, restaurants and a good nightlife. There is a reasonable sized gay population, with several clubs catering to this market.
