The city centre is a modern central business district (CBD) and shopping area. Queen Street Mall is the main shopping area, which consists of a large pedestrian mall and adjacent shopping complexes. The CBD area is also one of the main areas for nightlife and there are many great pubs and nightclubs to choose from. |

Other places worth visiting in the city centre include; the Botanical Gardens and Parliament House. Also, just across the river are the South Bank Parklands and the Queensland Cultural Centre. In the parklands you will find a great outdoor swimming pool, many cafes and restaurants, markets, wildlife sanctuary and many other activities. The Cultural Centre includes the city’s main art gallery, museum and theatre complex. |
